Abigail M.- The Mysterious Case of the Albright Academy by Diane Stanley
ReplyDeleteThe mystery was who was putting bad medications into the traditional Albright brownies. I thought that the book was really good! My favorite part was when Cal, Brooklyn, Prescott and Franny worked as a team to collect information and make it into a powerpoint to convince people that two, bad people were putting the medications into the brownies. But to find out who those two people are, you need to read the book!

ReplyDeleteThe problem was the police and Detective LaRue were trying to find the cats. It was good because I liked the picture when Detective LaRue and the police officer were playing checkers. I think it was a good book!

A girl, Franny, is accepted to the Allbright Academy where everyone is perfect. Franny realizes that the brownies they eat have something secret in it to make them perfect. Her brother, JD, is in the one group who does not recieve the brownies. On holiday at home, JD, realizes the change in Franny. She discovers the secret put into the brownies. She lets the police and everyone know about the secret ingredient and the academy is closed.
I liked the book ok, however, it was not one of my favorites. I wanted more explanations and more information about the characters. I just wanted more story.

ReplyDeleteThe Dollhouse Murders by Betty Ren Wright.
Amy goes to visit her Aunt Clare. She finds a dollhouse in the attic but it's not an ordinary dollhouse. The problem is the dolls in the dollhouse try to show Amy that there was a dark secret that hasn't been told in years. The book kept me on the edge of my seat. It was a geat mystery.

The story was funny! The dog and cat think the new house pet is evil. They try to prove it but they are only animals.
